River City Extension

River City Extension is an eight-piece ensemble out of New Jersey.

They released their 2nd album, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Your Anger, in June of this year.

I’ve been fond of a song from this record “If You Need Me Back in Brooklyn” all summer long and feature it today.

Atoms for Peace

Atoms for Peace is the supergroup that began as Thom Yorke’s backup band for the performances of his debut solo album Eraser. They then went on to record original band material.

We previously featured Atoms for Peace here in 2010.

The band returns with a new single, “Default” from the debut album due in 2013.

The xx

The xx in their debut won the Mercury Music Prize in 2010.

They follow beautifully with Coexist. I so love this band.

“Angels” is the lead track.
