Trashique (Grimes and HANA)

The Con X: Covers is a 10-year celebration of Tegan and Sara’s album The Con.

Like-minded Friends (Hayley Williams, Ryan Adams, Chvrches, PVRIS, Bleachers and Cyndi Lauper to name a few) have adapted the songs from the original and proceeds benefit the Tegan and Sara Foundation , which fights for health, economic justice, and representation for LGBTQ girls and women.

Grimes and HANA (under the name Trashique) cover “Dark Come Soon”.

“Dark Come Soon”

Dog Party

There is so much good new music that it takes years to hear all that is worthy. Here is a band that I discovered recently. Sacramento Sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles call themselves Dog Party.

This punk duo opened for Green Day in 2016.

Play the song “I Don’t Need You” (from their latest album Til You’re Mine) at full volume.

Her unique voice and seemingly simple delivery make her new song, “Drink I’m Sippin On” so enticing.

The Breeders

It’s been 24 years since the most prominent lineup of The Breeders recorded together.

Now guitarists Kim and Kelley Deal, bassist Josephine Wiggs, and drummer Jim Macpherson have reunited.

And we have a new classic Breeders song “Wait in the Car”.
