The Damned

The Damned was the first punk rock band in the UK to release a single; and it was the first one that I played in 1977.

The band was also one of my first interviews at my tiny college station. Truly dreadful. Punks to punks.

The Damned has been through various transformations over the years with Dave Vanian, the lead vocalist, the only constant.

Captain Sensible from the original band has rejoined the current lineup.

Evil Spirits due in the spring features the anthemic “Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow”.

Courtney Barnett

One of the most important artists to emerge in recent years is Courtney Barnett.

Tell Me How You Really Feel will be the title of this Australian’s 3rd album due in the spring.

As a precursor we have the song “Nameless, Faceless” with Kim Deal of The Breeders on backing vocals.
