Corin Tucker is one of the original Riot Grrrls and the distinctive vocalist of the band Sleater-Kinney. Together for eleven years, the group began a self-imposed hiatus in 2006 with Tucker concentrating on her growing family. In early 2009 she was asked to perform at a few benefit shows. The reception was so enthusiastic that she was inspired to record some newly written songs. Now she has emerged as a solo artist with The Corin Tucker Band.
