Next week Tori Amos will release her twelfth album Night of Hunters.

It will be her first to appear on the classical music Deutsche Grammophon label.

The songs on Night of Hunters are variations and inspirations from various classical music pieces.

Recorded all-acoustically, at times with full orchestra, the album is rich and lush and reflects Tori’s classically-trained piano talent.

“Shattering Sea” (Variation on: Song of the Madwoman on the Sea-Shore, Prelude op. 31 no. 8 by Charles-Valentin Alkan [a 19th century French composer]) is the first track on the album.
