James Murphy is LCD Soundsystem. (He adds various musicians when he performs live.) Murphy is also the co-founder of his own dance/punk label, DFA. LCD Soundsystem has won Grammy Awards for Best Electronic/Dance album for both of his previous two albums: LCD Soundsystem and Sound of Silver.
